Thank you for continuing to fill the gaps in my spiritual journey that have been lacking this past year in our new home town. God's words will continue to reach out to those seeking a deeper relationship with Him!Gisselahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13374213976923617192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4701485306045123560.post-73364636378964247322009-09-17T13:51:06.319-07:002009-09-17T13:51:06.319-07:00Thank you, so much, Fr. After a too-long hiatus, I have been struggling to re-invigorate the divorce ministry that God called me into, eight years ago. After reading your reflections, on the faith of St. Francis, I was struck by an awesome epiphany... The success of the ministry that God has entrusted to me has absolutely nothing to do with scheduling, marketing, or logistics... It is, instead, entirely dependent upon my complete trust and compliance to Christ!!

The ministry flourished, in the early days, due to the fact that I did not have a clue of what I was doing, and as a result, trusted in Christ completely, to guide my words and actions! At some point, I became too confident in my own abilities, and began to form my own agenda. No wonder that the ministry began to flounder! A few moments of reflection on the example of St. Francis, a man who relied so heavily on faith to guide him, would have done wonders for me.

Thank you, again, Fr. John. Now... if you will excuse me, I have to go and spend some time on my knees, and re-connect with my best friend.MartyOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09789014322007159928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4701485306045123560.post-55885347376465460792009-09-17T13:08:17.849-07:002009-09-17T13:08:17.849-07:00Wow FJ, some tough thoughts after a particularly t...Wow FJ, some tough thoughts after a particularly tough day for me.
